I stumbled on the first book in this series (I hope it becomes a long series) purely by mistake, but I couldn't put it down. In no time at all this sequel came out and let me tell you it is one of the best zombie books I have ever read. The only problem I had with the first book is that it was so short it left me wanting more. This one is nearly twice as long, but it still leaves me wanting more. The added length comes from fan submitted stories which expand the universe. I hope I don't have to wait too long before the next installment is released!
Great story. You get to learn all the characters and the roles they play. Theres a real connection between the team. Tons of action. Never want to put down. I had to buy all 8 books )
Great start to a series fun to read and refreshing characters.
Good solid story, well written, a little simple in the language but I like that, the Latin jawbreakers often get in the way of the story.
If you like getting right to the action and not waste time on how zombies came to be this is a great series for you. Can't put the book down !
I stumbled across the first book by accident, but was soon pulled into a very realistic story about people you could relate too. As a veteran myself I was happy that I was not spoon fed a lot of the acronyms that I already knew so the story never bogged down like you can come across in some military fantasy.
This second book also follows the formula of the first with top notch action and a great dialogue from the characters. The bad guys are not just undead variety and will make you wanna see anything bad that happens to them get multiplied every time they show up. Along with the sense of community you get from the addition of the fan fiction after the main story the author has allowed the fans of the series to broaden the scope of the universe.
If you are looking for a great quick read that will leave you wanting more look no further than the original text of Even Zombie Killers Get the Blues and its follow up Even Zombie Killers Need A Break.
Can not stop reading this book. Enjoyed the twists at the end and how there are story lines to be developed.
